Ronald Mangus, 65, Lake Havasu City, AZ, passed away on February 25, 2016, surrounded by his wife and close friends.
Ronald Lee Mangus was born in Burlington, CO on December 29, 1950 to Leslie and June (Drager) Mangus. After high school he attended college and then went into the construction business. Ron became a general contractor that built beautiful custom homes, excelling in his industry.
Ron married Anne McFarlane in November 1976 in Steamboat Springs, CO. They loved and made Steamboat their home for over 30 years, where they raised their children, and shared a wonderful life with their cherished friends. In 2009 they retired to Lake Havasu City, AZ where Ron enjoyed the classic car culture, great boating on the lake, and beautiful Arizona sunsets on their patio. Ron loved being on the lake in his boat surrounded by family and friends. Ron had a passion for classic cars, being a lover of Corvettes, and owning several classic cars of his own. His passion for cars and boats could only be second to his love for his family; his wife, his children, his parents and siblings, but especially his 5 grandchildren, who loved their funny "pop-pop". His friends and family remember him for enjoying life, his generosity to others, and his smile complete with mustache and toothpick. He was a wonderful man that enjoyed good times and he will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his wife Anne, Lake Havasu City; sons Shea of Steamboat Springs, CO and Jamie of Grants Pass, OR; daughters Ashlee (Mike) Niethammer of Chagrin Falls, OH and Caitlin (Chad) Patterson of San Diego, CA; brother Jody (Patty) of Bangladesh; a sister Vicki (Barry) Noreen, Denver, CO; and five grandchildren.
