Robin Jo Lorenz died December 18, 2015 at 2:00 pm in her home at 23555 Routt County Road 15. Robin was born June 8, 1953 in Steamboat Springs to Betty and Donald Lorenz. In her youth and throughout her life she was an exceptional skier. She was pictured in a National Geographic Magazine article about Ski Town USA when she was a little girl. She went on to ski race all over the country on the CanAm circuit.
After High School she became a realtor and excelled in that as well. In 1981 Robin and Brent
Romick married. A Real Estate / Development company was started, with Robin as the broker She was also behind the scenes helping with the weekly rodeo that is still ongoing in Steamboat every summer. She managed their two boys Dalton and Treat, organized the flag girls, and competed in team roping as a heeler. They were separated in 2006. Her two boys were the joy of her life. She was a devoted mother that was always there for them. She was their fierce defender in all things, and they were close to her heart right to the end. Bo Yennie likes to say that he and Robin met 42 years ago. In fact, he says they were so impressed with each other that they went out and got married, to other people. They reconnected skiing at the Great Sand Dunes in 2007, and married on December 21, 2010. They enjoyed the outdoors together as much as possible.
She is survived by her mother, Betty Lorenz, brothers Donnie, Jim and Scott, sister Laurie and husband Bo Yennie.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Robin on June 24,2016 from 5 to 8 at the top of the Gondola. There will be an open bar and food. There will be a Facebook event page for you to indicate your interest in attending, and all friends are welcome.
