Obituary for Diane R. Manley

Diane Manley, of Steamboat Springs, Colorado passed away on Wednesday, December 14th at home from an extended battle with cancer. She was born February 8, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York to James and Eleanor Ryan who preceded her in death.
She attended Michigan State University where she majored in Business/Economics which allowed her become the Executive Assistant to the CEO of two major banks. Her goal in life was to be a successful career woman, wife and mother, and she excelled at all three. Diane was a large presence in the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her humor and intelligence endeared her to her friends, and her devotion to her family was uncompromised.
The love and devotion she and her husband Ken shared was obvious to all that knew them. Before moving to Steamboat Springs, in 2004 Ken and Diane lived and worked in Evergreen, CO where they founded and built an eighty-five-employee company. They both loved mountain communities where they enjoyed a wide circle of friends and activities.
She is survived by her husband Ken Manley of Steamboat Springs, CO, her sister Linda Vasiladiotis and brother in law Bill Vasiladiotis of Sewickley, PA. Also, surviving Diane are five children, Lawrence (Chip) Jones and his wife Mary of Charlottesville, VA, Conrad C Jones of San Diego, CA, Jacqueline M Jones of Charlotte, NC, Jodie Manley Steiner of Steamboat Springs, CO and Bill Manley and his wife Abby of Steamboat Springs, CO. In addition, she leaves seven beloved grandchildren as her legacy and numerous extended family members.
Diane was a blessing to all her family and friends. Her life will be celebrated privately with a memorial service in the spring of 2017.
