Heather Blake was born in Hutchison, Kansas on May 19, 1971 to Jane and Charles Snyder. They moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho when Heather was six years old. In 1986, she moved to Steamboat Springs. She married Jason Blake in Steamboat on January 15, 1989. They have two sons, Derek Blake, 24, and Devin Blake, 20.
Heather’s life was dedicated to her family. She enjoyed fishing, dirt biking, camping, reading and James Taylor. Heather was employed by Steamboat Resorts. She is survived by her husband, Jason Blake, of Steamboat; youngest son, Devin Blake, of Steamboat; oldest son, Derek Blake of Fort Collins; father and step-mother, Charles and Patricia Snyder, of Coeur d’Alene; brothers, Jesse Snyder Sr. and Charles Snyder Jr., of Coeur d’Alene; sister, Katherine Langley of Ammon, ID; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
A celebration of Heather’s life will be held on August 23, 2014, at 1 p.m. on Blake Lane in Pioneer Village.
