Gordon Lee Fisher passed into eternal life on August 10th. He was born in Wyoming but called Steamboat Springs an Columbine home most of the time since 1952. He will be remembered by some as a champion wrestler under Coach Ramunno. Gordon graduated from Colorado State College in Greeley in 1968, after which he spent a year teaching and coaching in Anchorage, Alaska and a couple years substitute teaching in Jefferson County. 19761980 he was in the Army serving as Company Clerk in Germany. He then worked at a variety of jobs including construction. He enjoyed reading Thoreau and quoted him as saying, "If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music he hears..." Gordon received a terminal diagnosis on July 20th and responded by saying, "Adios World, Hello Jesus." He was well loved by his family and is survived by his brothers, Dennis and Wes and his sister, Trudith, as well as sistersinlaw and nieces and nephews. A family memorial service was held at the Steamboat Cemetery on August 13th.
